Tina Quick is a female comedian “of a certain age” trained at Second City in Chicago. She is an “active adult” who finds humor in the joys and challenges of this stage in life. Her clean, upbeat humor, draws on her experiences with her parents, daughters, grandchildren, healthcare, travels, and her own 55-plus community in Durham, NC. While much of her comedy caters to the 55+ crowd, it also reaches across to younger generations.
Tina Quick is just that – she has a “quick” sense of humor. She loves exploring what it means to age while you are still young at heart. Tina was introduced to comedy at a young age by her parents’ household improv and grandma’s raucous humor. She has been wanting to get into comedy for a long, long time.
Tina’s formal training came through an intensive comedy workshop class at Chicago’s Second City. She considers herself a story-teller with humor. Tina enjoys sharing her outlook on the ups and downs of aging and gets a lot of material from the 55+ community where she lives in Durham with her husband of 40+ years.
Before concentrating on a comedy career Tina enjoyed multiple vocations and hobbies. From being a Registered Nurse to Rodeo Queen to a professional actress, a four-time author, and international speaker, she never stops thinking about “What next?” She and her husband have raised three daughters who have all successfully survived her sometimes zany attempts at humor during their childhoods to be pretty funny people themselves.
